Installation
A snuff bottle is an exquisite miniature piece of craftsmanship, each uniquely designed and intricately carved with its own story hidden in its small world. Artist group STICKYLINE and Cynthia Mak drew inspiration from the thoughts and intentions of the craftsmen of snuff bottles and extracted their forms and visual elements, such as themes, motifs and shapes, to revitalise the exquisitely lifelike animal design of snuff bottles.
The artist team enlarged and rearranged various elements using vibrant colour combinations to design a series of unique geometric shapes. They revitalised the snuff bottles into a large-scale outdoor art installation, with unique patterns on the ground manifesting the contours of the snuff bottles and giving a dynamic life-sized presentation that captivates the audience.
As visitors enter this enchanting maze of snuff bottles, they begin a rich and colourful journey. They navigate through the passageways, corridors and arches of the maze, exploring the intriguing visual elements and landscape changes, thus extending the stories within them. The artist team’s creative reimagining presents other perspectives of the snuff bottles, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in a whimsical reality by guiding them through an endless realm of imagination.

鼻煙壺袖珍玲瓏、精雕細琢、工藝獨特，在小小世界裏各藏着自有的故事。藝術 家團隊 STICKYLINE 與麥芷筠透過閱讀昔日工匠們所留存的心思意念，啟發創 作靈感，汲取鼻煙壺的造型及視覺元素，包括主題、紋飾、線條，然後重新構思， 為鼻煙壺惟妙惟肖的動物形象賦予新生命。
團隊將鼻煙壺的設計元素放大和重整，運用鮮豔色彩，設計了一系列獨特的幾何 形狀組合，把富有新生命的鼻煙壺藝術裝置安放於戶外。地上的獨特圖案凸顯了 鼻煙壺的輪廓恰如其身影，將平常靜態展示的鼻煙壺活靈活現地在四維空間出現， 引人入勝地呈現於觀衆眼前。
當大家進入這奇幻的鼻煙壺群間，豐富多彩的旅程將即時開始。在穿梭迷宮內的 通道、走廊、拱門時，觀眾會發現有趣的視覺元素及景觀變化，從而延伸想像當 中蘊含的故事。團隊的創意再造，呈現了鼻煙壺的另一視角，讓大家沉浸於異想 天開的空間，引領大家漫遊無邊無際的想像領域。

Hong Kong Artist Dialogue Series: Beyond Delight

Art Square is where the Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMoA) realises the idea of a wall-less exhibition to extend the indoor exhibition gallery into an open public space. It also allows artists to draw inspiration from the rich HKMoA collections to create a unique artistic dialogue.
Local artist group STICKYLINE and Cynthia Mak took inspiration from “Art of Gifting: The Fuyun Xuan Collection of Chinese Snuff Bottles” exhibition and collaborated to create this corresponding large-scale public art installation Wandering through Snuff Bottles, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a whimsical reality by guiding them through an endless realm of imagination. Inspired by the thoughts and intentions of snuff bottle craftsmen, the artists skilfully employ contemporary visual art language to reinterpret the intricately crafted Chinese snuff bottles. This enchanting maze of snuff bottles adorned with captivating visual elements and changing landscapes offers visitors a unique artistic experience.

藝術廣場讓藝術跨越室內的展覽廳走到開放的戶外空間，實踐了藝術館無牆展覽的概念，讓藝術家們從藝術館的豐富館藏獲取靈感，展開一場場別開生面的藝術對話。
這次本地藝術家團隊STICKYLINE和麥芷筠從「袖珍．厚禮──浮雲軒藏中國鼻煙壺捐贈展」展品得到啟發，共同創作與之呼應的大型戶外藝術裝置《遊走迷壺間》，引領觀眾走進奇幻有趣的鼻煙壺迷宮。團隊透過閱讀昔日鼻煙壺匠人們所留存的心思意念，迸發想像，巧妙運用當代視覺藝術語言重塑精巧玲瓏的鼻煙壺。在鼻煙壺群間，有趣的視覺元素及景觀變化將為觀眾帶來不一樣的藝術體驗。
