SOILWORM LAI
Artist / Designer / Paper Engineer
Designer Soilworm Lai graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design BA (HONS) majoring in Industrial and Product Design. Lai was selected to participate in an exchange trip called The Design and Emotion Workshop in the Netherlands. After graduation, he worked in packaging and product design for five years. He practiced at Henrik Vibskov Studio in Copenhagen after he won the Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award 2013. Focusing on paper structure development and paper engineering, Lai is the designer for Stickyline with Mic Leong since 2011.
MIC LEONG
Artist / Designer / Paper Engineer
Mic Leong is a graduate from the School of Design at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, majoring in Industrial and Product design. He is now a toy designer for four years. He loves all kinds of toys and the fantasy world behind it, trying to match the playful, simple elements into his works. Mic works with Soilworm under the name of Stickyline since 2011. Join “Hong Kong Designers Exchange” organize by Ambassadors of Design(AoD), through the programme he participate in International Design Festival Berlin 2013. During 2014 Milan design week, being one of exhibitor in “Hong Kong: Constant change” exhibition in the name of Stickyline, in which they showcase a paper installation – “Rice field”, and completed it with visitors. Having collaborated with different brands, such as famous fashion brand name Paul and Shark and Art mall K11, SinoArt.
